1.First Singapore PM Warns Against Population Boom: The Singapore Government said last year it wants to add another two million people to expand the island’s population to 6.5 million over the next 40 to 50 years – mostly through immigration - to drive economic growth in the city-state, where there is a low birth rate and a graying population. NCPD News Clipping for January 2008

1. China Elderly Crisis Increase Will Change the labor market in the future: Koh Santepheap Daily issued on January 02, 2008. According to Mr.Yean Choeng Chhun’s the interview; deputy director of National Committee for Older People showed that among six workers, one is the retired person. This rate will increase more with one in two (among two workers, one is the retired person) in 2030 and 2050. Chinese older person increases about 3.2% every year. Nowadays China has older person about haft of older person in ASIA and it’s expected that older person in China will increase to 400 millions in 2050.

Youth Education

Enrolment rate, repeating rate and dropping school has been being become the main obstacles for Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport to achieve the education goal for all. There are 77 millions children in the world don’t go to school, but the education in Cambodia is being reformed. On April 27, 2007 there are 120 countries had a gobble campaign for education with the topic “Education is the basic right for all.” It makes the same sound in the world to remind to all political leaders and powerful people, who had promised and signed on the agreement together, to commit and achieve the goal of education for all.
